technique report - conductive paint on fabric is a no-go, kids
i ordered the LessEMF CuPro Conductive paint off of lessemf.com. While I did a couple lines on paper, and the paint worked excellent there, the paint on the fabric i had is not very reliable. the fabric was some kind of nylon or synthetic i believe, and not very porous. in addition, the paint chipped very very easily. when i could get it on, if i tried to do anything else to it such as put a needle through to attach some thread it would not work. i also tried mixing the paint with another color, but that lost a lot of conductivity when i could get a signal through. cassandre had some luck with silk, so i would venture to say if you’re going to try this make sure your fabric is very thin.
