According to the manufacter, Swift-Lock is a “reusable electrically conductive hook and loop fastener used for grounding static electricity and closing shielding jackets.”  For example, SwiftLock was used as a fastener for a custom multi-cable EMF shielding jacket that prevented manufacturing equipment from interfering with the operation of computer and barcode readers.  Additional cables were easily added to the jacket since SwiftLock made it re-sealable.  In addition to EMF shielding, however, it can also be used as a soft switch that is easily sewn into  upholstery coverings, garments, or to piece together multiple conductive fabrics.

SwiftLock only comes in silver gray, which is due to the conductive dye used to manufacture the fastener.  It is sold by the linear yard, and comes in 1 or 2 inch strips, although custom widths can be made by special order.
